YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Inspect and diagnose the malfunctions in the truck and trailer systems.

  • Troubleshoot the faults by repairing or replacing the defective/damaged components.

  • Perform regular routine check-ups and preventive maintenance of the truck and trailer parts including; clutches, air brakes, engine, chassis, frame, cab, body, and drivetrain, steering, fuel, hydraulic, suspension, transmission, electrical, and electronic systems.

  • Do scheduled oil changes, lubrication, and tune-ups of truck-trailer systems in order to ensure everything is in good working condition.

  • Coordinate with other staff, receive/execute work instructions in a timely and proper manner

  • Keep the tools and work area clean.

OUR PREFERRED CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

  • Five years of verifiable repair experience on medium and heavy vehicles

  • High School Diploma / Vocational Training

  • Class B Drivers License will be a plus

  • Knowledge of engine systems diagnostics, electrical systems, and AC skills

  • Technical knowledge of major vehicle systems and diesel equipment

  • Must be able to meet physical requirements of the position (lifting, bending, climbing, etc)
