About us

Enertec is seeking an experienced Heat Pump installation, service, and repair technician. Additional HVAC experience is a benefit but is not required. Our technicians are primary focus on new installations and service calls primarily in the Southern Maine geography. This position includes but is not limited to installing in both residential and commercial settings. A minimum of two to five years of experience is preferred.

Responsibilities:

  • Diagnosing, repairing, cleaning, installing mini split heat pump systems both ducted and ductless

  • Able to solve problems and work independently

  • Providing excellent customer service

  • Able to work directly with plumbers and electricians; having effective communication to complete the job.

  • Must be able to lift 75 lbs, be comfortable climbing ladders, working on roof tops and in crawl spaces.

Qualifications:

  • Strong work ethic; can work in a fast-paced environment.

  • Detail Oriented

  • Position will require candidates to be knowledgeable, adaptable, and be motivated to complete jobs in a timely manner.

  • Pass a background check and have a clean driving record.

  • Proficient with hand tools and basic construction techniques

Duties:

  • Diagnosing, repairing, cleaning, installing mini split heat pump systems and accessories.

Experience:

  • Two to five years of field experience in the HVAC field. Experience is preferred but we're willing to train the right candidate

  • Formal education and other field related certifications and licenses such as gas, plumbing, and electrical are not required, but consider a benefit and will be compensated accordingly.

Job Type:

  • Full time, Monday through Friday; occasional OT is expected during busy season.

Pay:

  • We can offer competitive pay based on experience. Rate negotiated based on expertise (minimum of two to five years). Paycheck is Bi-Weekly

Salary: $ $38.00 per hour (depending on experience)

  • High school or equivalent (Preferred)

License/Certification:

  • Driver's License (Required)
  • HVAC Certification (Preferred)

Work Location: Portland office with daily remote activities to support job expectations.
