$1,000.00 Sign on Bonus:
Terms $500 after first 3 months | $500 after 6 months.
Position PurposeThe Security and Transportation Officer ensures the safety and well-being of St. Joseph of the Pines' residents, visitors, staff, and facilities. In this role, you will uphold the organization's Pillars of Values: People, Growth, Quality, Service, and Financial stewardship. As a trusted team member, you'll deliver excellent service while providing secure transportation to appointments, shopping, and community activities.
What You Will Do
- Maintain a safe and secure environment on campus.
- Transport residents in a company vehicle to scheduled appointments and activities.
- Assist residents with mobility challenges, ensuring their comfort and safety during transportation.
- Maintain the vehicle by performing routine cleaning, preventative maintenance, and refueling.
- Collaborate with staff and residents to coordinate transportation schedules.
- Respond to safety concerns promptly and professionally, fostering a calm and welcoming environment.
Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Valid license required and must have a safe driving record.
- Medical First Responder Class or CENA license preferred.
- Previous experience working in long-term care or with the geriatric population preferred.
- Must possess superior customer service skills and professionalism
- Must possess outstanding verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to adapt to ongoing change and work in a fast-paced, customer-driven environment.
- Possesses interpersonal and relationship building skills to work in a cross-functional team as well as the ability to work with residents based on their cognitive ability.
- Possesses a high degree of personal accountability, responsibility, and strong decision-making abilities
- Must possess the ability to plan, organize, develop, implement, and interpret programs, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures of the organization
- Able to transfer residents on and off bus and into appointments or other destinations as required
