We're seeking a Trip Assignment Specialist to join our operations team in Kansas City. In this vital hybrid role, you'll combine dispatch coordination with exceptional customer support—assigning trips, assisting passengers, and ensuring clear, timely communication that keeps our fleet and our riders moving.

Shift: Tuesday – Saturday

What You'll Do as a Trip Assignment Specialist

  • Assign drivers to trips based on availability, proximity, and customer needs
  • Monitor daily fleet operations to maintain on-time performance and service quality
  • Provide real-time instructions, route updates, and operational guidance to drivers
  • Respond to customer calls with professionalism, empathy, and accuracy
  • Troubleshoot delays, service issues, or route disruptions and recommend solutions
  • Maintain accurate logs of dispatch activity, trip details, and vehicle deployment
  • Collaborate with operations, customer service, and safety teams to improve efficiency
  • Promote a safety-first culture by following company standards and procedures

What You Bring

  • Experience in dispatching, customer service, fleet coordination, or transportation operations (preferred)
  • Excellent communication skills for supporting both drivers and customers
  • Strong multitasking, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to remain calm and confident in fast-paced or high-pressure situations
  • Familiarity with dispatch systems or GPS-routing software (a plus)
  • Valid driver's license required
