Experienced Full-Time Fleet Technician Wanted

A local, family-owned, and growing fleet repair facility is seeking motivated, qualified full-time technicians to join our expanding team at our Norfolk location.

Requirements:

  • Valid driver's license required.
  • State Inspectors License a plus
  • Must have own tools.
  • 2-3 years (or more) experience with gas, diesel, or both.
  • Experience diagnosing light and/or heavy-duty vehicles required.
  • ASE certification preferred.
  • CDL is a plus.
  • Proficient with alignment machines, computerized alignment software, and mechanical measuring tools
  • Must be a team player.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform engine, undercarriage, electrical, heating/cooling, diagnostic, and preventive maintenance services on vehicles.
  • Inspect motor vehicles for safety, effectiveness, and legal compliance.
  • Maintain, repair, and replace mechanical support equipment like pumps, compressors, and groundskeeping tools.
  • Respond to emergency road calls; make repairs or arrange safe transport of inoperable vehicles.
  • Coordinate work schedules with other departments for efficient fleet maintenance.
  • Receive training to maintain knowledge and certifications in vehicle repair.
  • Process standard work documents such as work orders, listing all parts used.
  • Perform routine care and cleaning of shop equipment.
  • Maintain a safe and clean workplace.

Work Hours:

  • Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
