Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Bobtail Truck Driver to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently, ensuring timely deliveries while providing excellent customer service. This role requires a strong understanding of route driving, heavy lifting, and operating various types of vehicles, including box trucks and manual transmission vehicles.

Duties

  • Operate box trucks and other delivery vehicles to transport goods to designated locations.
  • Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving.
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance.
  • Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling techniques to prevent damage.
  • Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries, addressing any questions or concerns from clients.
  • Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation for each route driven.
  • Collaborate with warehouse staff to coordinate loading schedules and inventory management.
  • Assist with heavy lifting and moving of products as needed throughout the delivery process.

Qualifications

  • Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) required; experience with manual transmission is a plus.
  • 2 years previous experience in truck driving required.
  • Familiarity with forklift operation for loading and unloading tasks required.
  • Strong customer service skills to effectively communicate with clients during deliveries.
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks associated with moving goods.
  • Excellent time management skills to ensure timely deliveries on assigned routes.
  • A solid understanding of warehouse operations.
