JOB FUNCTION:

To enable pupils to derive the fullest benefits from school by promoting their sense of self and by evaluating and working to ameliorate psychological or mental health problems that may interfere with their adjustment to school and the education program offered to them.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Valid New Jersey Educational Services Certificate / School Psychologist Endorsement
  • Minimum experience as determined by the board
  • Knowledge of laws and regulations governing special education; and demonstrated ability to effectively provide testing, psychological evaluation and counseling services
  • Familiarity with Special Education Case Management
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Required criminal history check and proof of U.S. Citizenship or legal resident alien status

REPORTS TO: Director of Special Projects

SALARY: EHCEA Contract Salary Guide Ranging $60,000-$94,048
