Do you have a passion for pristine landscapes and experience leading a hardworking team? The Budd Group is hiring for a prestigious school in Chatham, VA. Our Company is looking for an energetic and reliable Landscape Crew Leader to guide our grounds crew.

What You'll Do

  • Lead & Motivate: Guide a small crew in daily landscaping tasks, setting a positive, efficient pace.

  • Hands-On Work: Actively participate in all aspects of grounds maintenance, including mowing, trimming, edging, planting, weeding, and seasonal clean-up.

  • Quality Control: Ensure all work is completed to the high standards expected of our prestigious campus.

  • Safety First: Uphold all safety procedures and ensure proper use of equipment.

  • Equipment Operation: Skillfully operate mowers, trimmers, blowers, and other landscaping tools.


The Details

  • Pay Rate: $18.00 per hour

  • Schedule: Full-time, Monday – Friday. We primarily work mornings, but flexibility in your hours is required to meet seasonal demands and school event schedules.


What You Need to Succeed

This role is critical to our campus operations, and we have a few non-negotiable requirements for the safety and security of our school community.

  • Must have previous, verifiable experience in a Landscape Crew Lead or similar supervisory role.

  • Must possess a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen.

  • Must be able to pass a comprehensive lifetime criminal background check.
