Talent Responsibilities

Summary of Key Responsibilities:

Adheres to all company policies and procedures

Understand and follow SDS (Safety Data Sheets)

Wear proper PPE to ensure employee safety

Use measuring devices such as snap gauges and dial calipers to ensure cable is in spec

Adheres To All Company Safety Requirements
Inspect cable for defects

Maintains the workspace in conformance with the Company's 5S methodology

Assist cable operators with daily business such as fixing bobbins, cleaning, operating braiding machinery, etc.

Ensures complete, jacketed cable meets drawing specifications

Maintain the cable rolling room, keeping it clean and organized

Provide all data taken from jacketing inspection to the Cable Manufacturing Supervisor

Read cable drawings to ensure specifications are met (Color, Size, Flaws, etc.)

Perform needed testing on the cable jacket to ensure it meets our specifications

Inform the Cable Engineer if the product falls out of spec and needs further evaluation

Provide test samples to the Cable Engineer of complete jacketed or etched cable in a timely manor

Spool cable to desired lengths for inventory placement, and for etching productions

Log all rolling data into the PDO Tracker file for Cable Manufacturing

All other relevant duties as assigned

Talent Profile

Education:

High school diploma or its equivalent

Experience:

Minimum of 1 year relevant work experience as a machine operator

Minimum of 1 year working in a factory/warehouse setting, preferably cable

Preferably 1 year inspection experience

Skills/Knowledge:

Effective and clear communication

Attention to detail

Capable of handling multiple tasks in parallel

Fast learner

Microsoft Word/Excel

Personal Qualifications:

Ability to read and use measuring devices such as snap gauges and dial caliper

Mechanically inclined

Ability to ask for help

Ability to prioritize and plan

Excellent communication and teamwork

Ability to multi-task and problem solve

Ability to handle change effectively

Ability to manage customers and peers with tact and diplomacy

Ability to work with people from diverse backgrounds

Ability to exercise cultural awareness and sensitivity

Physical/Mental Abilities:

Able to lift and move material/spools of finished products up to 60 lbs. (Assistance using lifting equipment when necessary)

Able to wear proper PPE including but not limited to; Gloves, safety glasses, hearing protection, steel toe shoes, non-slip shoes

Must have the physical and mental abilities needed to perform all essential tasks listed; reasonable accommodations may be made to help the job holder perform essential tasks

Must be able to work and respond well under sometimes stressful and demanding work conditions

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the pay range for this role in New Jersey is $ $22.00 per hour. This is not a guarantee of compensation, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
