Job Summary

As an Accountant, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the financial health of our organization. You'll be responsible for managing financial records, ensuring compliance with GAAP standards, and providing insightful financial reports that drive strategic decision-making. Your expertise in various accounting software and principles will empower you to contribute significantly to our financial operations and support our mission.

Role Description

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our Sunnyvale, CA office.

In this role, you will oversee daily accounting operations, prepare and analyze financial statements, ensure compliance with GAAP and tax regulations, and support management with budgeting, forecasting, and strategic financial insights. You will also perform reconciliations and contribute to process improvements to enhance accuracy and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of the general ledger, month-end, and year-end close processes.
• Prepare and review financial statements and management reports.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, payroll, and sales tax regulations.
• Conduct reconciliations (bank, intercompany, balance sheet accounts, etc.).
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Provide financial insights to support business decision-making.
• Identify process improvement opportunities to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
• Collaborate with international teams to maintain accounting consistency across entities.
• Work with Odoo Accounting and other accounting tools to maintain accurate financial data.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master's or CPA preferred).
• 5+ years of professional accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and corporate accounting principles.
• Proven experience in financial statement preparation, analysis, and forecasting.
• Hands-on experience with account reconciliations, audits, and compliance.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams.
• Experience in Inventory valuation is a plus.
• Experience with Odoo Accounting or similar ERP/accounting systems is a strong plus.
• Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with other financial reporting tools.

Basic qualifications
