Job Overview
The Facilities Electrician is responsible for performing skilled electrical work to support the maintenance, repair, and efficient operation of all building and facility systems. This role ensures electrical reliability and safety through preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical components and equipment.
Responsibilities
- Adhere to all company safety policies, procedures, and training programs to ensure a safe and compliant work environment.
- Collaborate effectively and respectfully within a diverse, multicultural team to support facility goals and initiatives.
- Perform skilled electrical work related to building and facility maintenance, ensuring reliability and operational efficiency.
- Conduct preventative maintenance, inspections, and repairs on a wide range of electrical systems and equipment.
- Utilize diagnostic, measuring, and testing instruments to identify electrical issues and verify successful repairs.
- Calculate and assess electrical load requirements to maintain compliance with electrical codes and optimize system performance.
- Accurately document all maintenance activities and record detailed work information in the company's maintenance management system.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support ongoing facility operations and maintenance needs.
Requirements
- Valid Texas State Journeyman Electrician License strongly preferred.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Completion of an accredited electrical apprenticeship program or vocational/trade school in electrical technology is strongly preferred.
- Valid Driver's License.
- 6+ years of electrical experience in residential, commercial, industrial, manufacturing, or facilities environments preferred.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, electrical diagrams, and schematics.
- Strong diagnostic, troubleshooting, and repair skills across a range of electrical systems.
- Basic computer literacy and familiarity with maintenance software.
- Flexibility to work longer shifts, including weekends, as required.
