Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide range of industrial equipment and systems. This role requires strong technical expertise, including experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), hydraulics, electrical systems, plumbing, steam lines and mechanical components. The Maintenance Engineer will ensure optimal operation of manufacturing processes, minimize downtime, and support continuous improvement initiatives. Candidates with industrial mechanic experience, HVAC/R knowledge, and field service background are highly preferred. Fluency in English and excellent analysis skills are essential for success in this position.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on manufacturing equipment and systems.
- Troubleshoot complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues using schematics and technical manuals.
- Repair or replace faulty components such as motors, sensors, valves, and control systems.
- Utilize CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) to document work orders, maintenance history, and inventory management.
- Operate diagnostic tools including ammeters, ohmmeters, and other precision measuring instruments for accurate troubleshooting.
- Conduct repairs involving welding, low voltage electrical systems, high voltage equipment, and HVAC/R systems.
- Maintain safety standards by working with high voltage systems and adhering to lockout/tagout procedures.
- Assist in the installation of new equipment and upgrades to existing machinery.
- Support field service operations as needed to ensure customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.
- Read and interpret schematics, technical drawings, and wiring diagrams to facilitate repairs and maintenance activities.
Requirements
- Proven experience in industrial maintenance within a manufacturing facility environment.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical systems (including high voltage), and HVAC/R systems.
- Hands-on experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and industrial electrician skills.
- Familiarity with CMMS software for maintenance tracking.
- Ability to operate scissor lifts and other industrial equipment safely.
- Experience with welding, schematics reading, and precision measuring instruments such as ammeters and ohmmeters.
- Knowledge of low voltage electrical systems and analysis skills for troubleshooting complex issues.
- Industrial mechanic experience combined with technical sales or customer service background is a plus.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment while maintaining safety standards.
- Strong communication skills in English to effectively document work orders and collaborate with team members.
