BrightCore is seeking a
Director or Senior Director of Financial Reporting & Technical Accounting
for a company based in Atlanta, GA.
This permanent position is

Hybrid (2 days in the office). This role leads the company's financial reporting and technical accounting functions, with a critical focus on
IPO readiness
. The Director/Senior Director will build scalable reporting infrastructure, implement complex accounting standards, and support strategic transactions. This position is instrumental in preparing the organization for public company rigor and long-term financial transparency.

Key Responsibilities

  • IPO Readiness
    : Drive initiatives to prepare for public listing, including audit coordination, financial statement rigor, and control environment enhancement.
  • Technical Accounting
    : Lead evaluation and implementation of complex accounting standards (e.g., ASC 606, ASC 842, equity/debt instruments, M&A).
  • Audit & Controls
    : Manage external audit relationships and oversee internal control documentation and SOX framework development.
  • Policy Development
    : Establish and maintain accounting policies aligned with public company expectations.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
    : Partner with Legal, FP&A, and external advisors to support financial disclosures and strategic initiatives.
  • Team Leadership
    : Build and mentor a high-performing reporting and technical accounting team.

Qualifications

  • Education
    : Bachelor's degree in
    Accounting
    ; Master's in Accounting preferred.
  • Certification
    : CPA required.
  • Experience
    : 10+ years in financial reporting and technical accounting, including 5+ years in leadership roles. Must demonstrate a
    stable career trajectory with increasing responsibility across roles
    .
