Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team in the Rehoboth Beach/Lewes Area. The ideal candidate will support our medical staff in providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced clinical environment. This role is essential in ensuring smooth operations within the clinic and enhancing patient experiences through effective communication and administrative support.

Duties

  • Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures.
  • Administer medications as directed by physicians, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
  • Perform basic life support as needed, maintaining readiness for emergency situations.
  • Conduct patient intake, including taking vital signs and recording medical histories.
  • Provide medical administrative support, including scheduling appointments and managing patient records.
  • Facilitate communication between patients and healthcare professionals to enhance service delivery.
  • Maintain a clean and organized clinic environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of anatomy to assist in various clinical tasks effectively.

Experience

  • Previous experience in an outpatient setting or Level I Trauma Center is preferred but not required.
  • Familiarity with geriatrics is a plus, as we cater to a diverse patient demographic.
  • Strong understanding of medication administration protocols is essential.
  • Proven ability to deliver exceptional patient service while maintaining professionalism in all interactions.
  • Knowledge of basic life support techniques is required; certification may be necessary prior to employment.
  • Experience with medical administrative tasks will be advantageous for this role.
