- Collaborate closely with engineers, programmers, and quality teams to ensure instructions accurately reflect manufacturing intent and standards.
- Work directly with machinists, assemblers, and technicians to answer process questions, gather feedback, and refine procedures.
- Analyze existing processes to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, or quality risks; recommend and implement improvements.
- Ensure all documentation is clear, consistent, and aligns with internal quality and production standards.
- Train shop personnel on new or updated procedures and monitor their adoption.
- Support new product introductions by developing manufacturing workflows and production routings.
- Maintain revision control and ensure timely updates to process documentation as engineering changes occur.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, including tooling, fixturing, layout, and workflow optimization.
Required Qualifications
- 3–7 years of experience in manufacturing, process engineering, or production management, preferably in aerospace, precision machining, or industrial manufacturing.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on understanding of machining, assembly, fabrication, and general manufacturing principles.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, GD&T, and technical drawings.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with both management and shop floor personnel.
- Proven ability to create clear and accurate work instructions and manufacturing documentation.
- Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail.
- Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems and manufacturing documentation workflows.
- Experience with root-cause analysis, process optimization, or lean manufacturing principles.
- Must be a US citizen to apply.
