Job Summary

Schneider's Dairy is seeking a Night Time Cooler/Load-Out Manager to oversee all cooler, storage, and load-out operations during evening shifts. This role is essential to ensuring accurate inventory management, proper product rotation, efficient truck loading, and maintaining our high standards for quality and food safety.

ResponsibilitiesCooler & Storage Management

• Oversee daily cooler operations to ensure accurate inventory management and product safety.
• Implement and maintain inventory control systems to track stock levels (FIFO required).
• Properly inventory all cooler products and ensure organization based on product code rotation (oldest first).
• Ensure refrigeration is functioning correctly; employees must report issues immediately.

Load-Out & Distribution Operations

• Manage proper building and preparation of all orders with minimal errors.
• Oversee correct loading of all vehicle types (straight trucks, tractor trailers, etc.) according to route design and customer requirements.
• Ensure older inventory is loaded before newer inventory (strict FIFO).
• Eliminate shortages by ensuring accurate pallet building and truck loading.

Leadership & Staff Oversight

• Manage and lead cooler/load-out staff during night operations.
• Train employees on proper stocking, inventory rotation, truck loading, sanitation, and safety procedures.
• Coordinate with warehouse, logistics, procurement, and transportation teams to maintain operational flow.

Warehouse & Process Optimization

• Implement lean principles to optimize efficiency and eliminate waste.
• Manage demand planning, procurement coordination, and freight activities.
• Monitor and analyze performance metrics to drive continuous improvement.
• Maintain cooler organization, cleanliness, sanitation, and waste removal.

Requirements

• 2–5 years of experience in warehouse, cold storage, inventory management, or load-out operations.
• Proven experience in supervisory or management roles.
• Strong understanding of supply chain principles, transportation planning, and logistics.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and training skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• High level of accuracy in truck loading and order building.
• Must be able to work night shift (8-hour shift).
• Ability to lift, drive, rotate, and maneuver product and trucks as required.

Licenses & Certifications

• Valid Driver's License (Required)
• Must be a U.S. Citizen

Location Requirements

• Must reliably commute to or plan to relocate to Pittsburgh, PA 15227 before starting work.
