Hueman is partnering with a private equity-backed company to hire a full-time Vice President of Financial Operations to establish and lead its newly created Shared Services center in Atlanta, GA. This role requires in-office presence but includes flexibility.
As the VP of Financial Operations, you will oversee the end-to-end delivery of financial shared services, including Accounts Receivable (Billing, Cash Collection, and Cash Applications), Accounts Payable, General Ledger Accounting, and Treasury support, while driving operational excellence, standardization, and automation. The Vice President of Financial Operations will build a high-performing team, streamline processes, ensure financial compliance and reporting, and collaborate cross-functionally to support business growth and financial integrity.
The company is a national leader in the facility services space, with approximately $1 billion in annual revenue.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the Financial Shared Services organization across multiple functional areas (AP, AR, GL, etc.)
- Design and implement efficient, standardized processes and service-level agreements (SLAs) across all regions.
- Oversee day-to-day operations to ensure timely, accurate, and compliant financial transactions.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives, including automation and digitization of financial processes.
- Partner with IT to implement and optimize ERP systems and financial tools.
- Ensure strong internal controls, audit readiness, and compliance with regulatory and corporate policies.
- Develop KPIs, dashboards, and performance metrics to monitor team productivity and service quality.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a diverse team to foster a high-performance culture.
- Collaborate with finance leaders, business units, and external partners to align shared services with organizational goals.
- Manage budget, resources, and vendor relationships for the shared services function
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a Business Administration
- CPA certification a plus
- 15+ years of experience in shared services management, finance operations or a related field, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Proven experience in implementing and managing shared services centers in a multi-entity environment.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial controls, and compliance requirements.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Outlook.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with ERP systems (i.e Microsoft Dynamics, SAP, Oracle, etc) and automation tools
