Sales Director
This role is responsible for leading outside sales teams in achieving assigned sales goals and revenue objectives by targeting a high volume of small to mid-sized businesses in a geographical area. This role oversees all aspects of a team's performance including recruiting, training, coaching, mentoring, developing, company policy adherence, and ethical behavior. By supporting an existing client set, this role focuses on meeting campaign deadlines and adhering to sales schedules as well as enforcing and driving productivity requirements, demo guidelines, and client onboarding.

Responsibilities

  • Manages and directs a team to obtain optimal sales results and an exceptional client experience. Recruits, coaches, motivates, and directs the team's workload with in the field observation. Responsible for individual team members professional development, performance appraisals, promotions, performance improvement plans execution, and if necessary, termination.
  • Represents the company, its products and services within their local community. Remains visible in the marketplace via networking, chamber memberships, and other activities that drive community awareness.
  • Creates and executes strategic sales plans that expand the customer base and achieve predetermined sales objectives that ultimately roll up to corporate goals. This encompasses individual and team sales, product usage, and client satisfaction objectives as well as meeting product churn expectations.
  • Manages all aspects of campaign schedules to ensure print deadlines are met, contacting clients to offer opportunities to review current programs within a set timeline and entering changes in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Proficiently uses of order entry systems, client performance portals, and any other tools that are used to drive results. Adheres to company standards of Salesforce CRM activity reporting

Who We're Looking For

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • 5+ years of experience, required.
  • 8+ years of experience, preferred.
  • Advanced business acumen with the ability to make decisions, solve problems, and manage conflict while maintaining the organization's overarching goals and objectives.
  • Comprehensive industry knowledge with a thorough understanding of internal sales practices and procedures including a strong command and ability to use of the company's SaaS products.
  • Effective time management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively network and build rapport
  • Strong sales leadership skills with the ability to motivate and lead in a competitive selling environment, with a track record of exceeding results while exemplifying empathy, credibility, and authority
  • Ability to travel between 25% and 50% of the time.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Must successfully complete pre-employment screening process, as required.
  • Must successfully complete any required training or orientation courses, as needed.
