Immediate opening for Automotive Technician/Mechanic at our National Dodge Chrysler Jeep RAM dealership located in Jacksonville, NC. TOP PAY (Earn up to $45 Flat Rate Hour dependent on all qualifications met and applicable experience), BENEFITS, and Atmosphere Certified Ford, GM, Toyota, Honda technicians welcome to apply 5 day work week, paid vacation, paid training, 401K, Health and Dental Insurance available, drug free work environment. Duties include:
- Perform routine automotive maintenance tasks, including oil changes, tire rotations, transmission flushes, air conditioner re-charges, front-end alignments, battery installations and headlight/taillight installations
- Maintain a working knowledge of current industry best practices in automotive repair
- Conduct extensive diagnostic procedures to determine the sources of customers' problems and provide accurate repair recommendations
- Repair brake and steering systems.
- Diagnose and repair electrical and electronic systems.
- Replace or repair transmissions and fuel components as needed.
- Repair cooling components and systems including air conditioners and engine cooling.
- Inspect vehicles according to the state's requirements for emissions and safety
- Conduct necessary repairs and take vehicles for test drives to verify soundness
- Maintain legible and accurate paperwork for both the customer and for our records
- Clean and maintain the work environment to ensure equipment longevity and workplace safety
Prefer minimum 1 year experience as a Automotive Technician/Mechanic. Knowledge of diagnostic tools and equipment a must. Must be willing to participate in in-house training and training required by the manufacturer. ASE Certification Preferred but not required if experienced. Mopar certifications are a plus.
