Senior Operations Planner- Demand Planning

This role is responsible for improving demand forecast accuracy for AP items within PSG to enhance customer satisfaction, sales, profitability, and overall supply chain performance. It supports cross-functional collaboration across Sales, Marketing, Operations, Supply Chain, and Technical teams to manage product lifecycle activities, including new product introductions and ongoing demand planning. The role also leads Lean and Continuous Improvement initiatives and facilitates Sales and Operational Planning reviews to ensure alignment with customer and brand strategies.

The travel for this position is 20%.

- The position is responsible for continuously improving the accuracy of the forecasts of the demand for finished goods in order to improve customer satisfaction, sales, profitability and overall supply chain effectiveness
- This position exists to assist Sales, Marketing, Materials/Purchasing Management, Operations, Supply Chain and the Technical group in managing the product lifecycle process. This includes the introduction of new products to market, forecasting the quantity and timing of demand for current products
- This role will utilize a collaborative and consensus approach by working with Sales, Marketing, and Supply Chain to obtain and ensure that current and accurate information is used for demand forecasts; participate in research activities to reconcile significant variances and refine forecasts to reflect updated sales and marketing assumptions
- This role will execute product life cycle management and lead Lean, Continuous Improvement Projects and Sales and Operational Planning reviews supporting assigned Customers and Brands
Minimum Requirements:
- Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age
- Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without needing sponsorship for employment work visa status now or in the future (e.g., OPT, CPT, H1B, EB-1,etc.)
- Must have a Bachelor's Degree or higher or four (4) years of work experience in supply chain
- Must have two (2) years experience in Supply Chain, Demand Planning, Customer Service, Sales, or Operations
Preferred Qualification:
- Have a bachelor's degree in a Supply Chain
- Have three (3) years experience in Supply Chain, Demand Planning, Customer Service, Sales, or Operations
- Have APICS CPIM Certification
- Have experience with Blue Yonder Solutions, Business Objects-DSF & SCIS, QAD, REACH, AOM, and IVAN
- Have experience with Procurement, Technical or Manufacturing experience within the coatings industry
