Summary of Job Duties:The Assistant Football Coach/Quality Control Analyst supports the football program by providing comprehensive analytical, administrative, and coaching assistance to enhance on-field performance, player development, and recruiting operations. This position works closely with the Head Coach, Coordinators, and position coaches to organize opponent scouting, self-scout evaluation, practice preparation, and game planning. The role also contributes to player instruction within NCAA guidelines, ensures operational efficiency, and upholds the program's academic, athletic, and cultural standards.

Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.
Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution

  • Prior experience working or playing in college or professional football

  • Proficiency with video breakdown systems (e.g., XOS, DVSport, Hudl) and football data tools

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in sport management, education, or related field

  • Experience as a graduate assistant, analyst, or collegiate/professional coach

  • Demonstrated expertise in schematic analysis, data analytics, or game-planning

  • Experience with recruiting databases (ARMS, JumpForward, Salesforce-based systems)

  • Background in player development, instructional design, or video/analytics technology

  • Proven ability to collaborate in a fast-paced, high-pressure team environment

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

  • Knowledge of football schemes, techniques, and terminology, and opponent scouting

  • Knowledge of NCAA compliance regulations

  • Advanced organization and time-management skills to manage practice planning, reporting, and tight weekly deadlines

  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills

  • Ability to interpret film, data trends, and complex football concepts

  • Ability to collaborate within a high-performance coaching environment while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality

  • Ability to work irregular hours, including nights, weekends, holidays, and travel as required
