This position requires interaction with others from different backgrounds, experience levels, and work ethics. It is expected that the Landscape Maintenance Technician joins their team in demonstrating kindness, respect, and professionalism, especially with those who do not reciprocate.

This position will be able to create and maintain things they never thought possible while using state of the art equipment and technology. If you have never been able to take pride in your work, that is about to change

As a professional at Local Roots, responsibility and trustworthiness are central to maintain a healthy working climate. The Technician should maintain a positive and respectful relationship with the customer, with their crew, and with the management team.

Daily Tasks:

The Landscape Maintenance Technician will be responsible for working with 1-2 crew members, and equipment operation as well as ensuring that all assigned projects are well-maintained and well execute. Typical assigned jobs include but are not limited to: commercial and residential mowing, trimming, spraying/spreading of pesticides, fertilization of lawns, shrub pruning, mulching, leaf removals, plant installations, installation of river rock. It's important that jobs be carried out with attention to detail.

  • Competence in driving a commercial truck
  • Duties would include installing Landscaping, commercial and residential mowing, trimming, spraying/spreading of pesticides, fertilization of lawns, shrub pruning, mulching, leaf removals, and plant installations. 
  • Ability to lift 50lbs or more
