About The Job
All user-facing online services are supported by a global network of data centers. The Infrastructure Construction and Asset Management (ICAM) team, a component of the broader Google Infrastructure and Energy (GIE), is dedicated to addressing customer business issues by delivering global infrastructure and resource solutions that support these data centers.
Within the Data Center Acquisitions and Development team, ICAM is responsible for overseeing Google's off-site infrastructure, inventory land, and both leased and owned data center assets. This includes ensuring the secure, timely, and budget-compliant construction and delivery of off-site infrastructure projects, robust administration and management of leased obligations, and compliant management of inventory properties. ICAM safeguards Google's capacity rights through stringent asset management and financial compliance, while also developing and upholding contractual standards and tools to protect Google's operational interests. Comprehensive asset management is vital for maintaining Google's global operational capacity, business continuity, and financial stability.
This high-impact contract role is a critical component, specifically managing the acceleration and successful execution of the data center fee development program at owned campuses. In this role, you will serve as the primary commercial lead for program development, working with technical leads to incorporate technical requirements, setting up processes, developing contracting templates, and negotiating build contracts with General Contractors (GCs), Sub-contractors, EPC teams, Design-Builders, Architects and developers, ensuring alignment with internal business goals and timelines. You will leverage your experience in fee development and construction contract negotiation, and a proven ability to negotiate and manage complex, multi-million-dollar agreements to ensure time-to-market and cost efficiency for Google's next-generation Data Center portfolio.
