JOB SUMMARY

The SERVICE TECHNICIAN is responsible for the safe and efficient removal, replacement, and maintenance of air filters in commercial HVAC systems. This role ensures that systems operate at optimal performance, supporting indoor air quality and energy efficiency standards.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. REMOVE and replace air filters in commercial HVAC systems according to manufacturer specifications and company procedures.

  2. INSPECT HVAC units for cleanliness and proper operation during filter changes.

  3. DOCUMENT work performed, including filter type, installation date, and system observations.

  4. MAINTAIN and organize tools, equipment, and replacement filters in a clean and safe manner.

  5. FOLLOW all safety protocols, including the proper handling of tools, equipment, and personal protective equipment (PPE).

  6. REPORT any HVAC system issues or potential maintenance needs to the Manager.

  7. STAY up-to-date on industry standards and best practices for HVAC system maintenance.

  8. PERFORMS OTHER ESSENTIAL DUTIES AS ASSIGNED.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

· Knowledge of HVAC system components and air filtration processes.

· Ability to follow technical instructions and safety procedures.

· Strong organizational skills and ability to document work accurately.

· Skilled in maintaining customer-focused mindset with professional communication skills.

· Ability to lift and carry equipment and filters safely.

· Ability to communicate clearly with team members and customers.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

High School Diploma or equivalent

1 year of experience with HVAC system components and air filtration processes.

SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS

Must pass a criminal background check

Must have a valid driver's license

Must have and maintain a good driving record

Must pass preemployment drug screening

Must be able to climb ladders, climb on roofs, crawl, stoop, carry equipment.

Must be AGILE. The ability to hold yourself and others Accountable, have a personal Growth mindset, ability to act with Integrity, ability to demonstrate Leadership attributes to motivate and support coworkers, and practice Everyday Improvement.

WORK CONDITIONS:

Works outside in all types of weather and may be exposed to extreme heat and cold, rain, snow, sun etc.

SAFETY SENSITIVE

This is a safety sensitive position due to driving requirements or job responsibilities whole include safety-sensitive tasks that require performing duties fraught with risk of injury to others where even a momentary lapse of attention may have grave and disastrous consequences.
