What you'll do

  • Operate various types of vehicles including tractor-trailers, flatbeds, and tankers to transport freight across designated routes.
  • Load and unload cargo with precision, ensuring that all items are secured and transported safely.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations.
  • Navigate routes effectively, adapting to changing traffic conditions while maintaining delivery schedules.
  • Utilize manual transmission skills when required, demonstrating versatility in vehicle operation.
  • Collaborate with team members to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues that may arise during transport.
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel consumption for reporting purposes.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while on the road.

Basic qualifications

  • Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record.
  • Proven experience in truck driving or delivery roles, showcasing your ability to handle various vehicle types including refrigerated trailers and dump trucks.

Preferred qualifications

  • Experience operating forklifts for loading and unloading tasks.
  • Familiarity with route planning and navigation tools to enhance delivery efficiency.
  • Knowledge of freight handling procedures and regulations related to commercial driving.
