Bilingual Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner – Child & Adolescent (Co-Occurring Disorders)Position Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP) with experience and/or a strong interest in working with children and adolescents who have co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders. The PNP will provide psychiatric evaluation, medication management, and clinical consultation in a collaborative, trauma-informed, and culturally responsive environment.

Candidate must be fluent in English and Spanish languages.

Key Responsibilities

· Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments for children and adolescents.

· Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans in coordination with clients, families, and multidisciplinary team members.

· Prescribe and manage psychiatric medications in alignment with best practice guidelines.

· Integrate care for both mental health and substance use concerns, utilizing evidence-based approaches.

· Collaborate closely with therapists, case managers, school staff, and other healthcare providers.

· Provide clinical consultation and guidance to program staff regarding psychiatric and medication-related concerns.

· Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant documentation in the Electronic Health Record (EHR).

· Participate in team meetings, case conferences, and quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

· Unencumbered Licensed Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner in the State of New York.

· DEA license and state-controlled substance registration

· Certification or demonstrated experience in treating children and adolescents.

· Experience and/or strong interest in co-occurring (mental health and substance use) treatment.

· Knowledge of trauma-informed care, harm reduction, and integrated treatment models.

· Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.

· Commitment to culturally competent care delivery.

· Bilingual (English and Spanish) abilities preferred but not required.

Preferred Qualifications

· Experience in outpatient mental health or integrated care settings.

· Familiarity with EHR systems.
