Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Automotive Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive repair and maintenance, with experience in both dealership and independent shop environments. This role requires a comprehensive understanding of vehicle systems, diagnostics, and repair techniques to ensure the highest level of service for our customers.

Duties

  • Perform thorough automotive diagnostics to identify issues with vehicles.
  • Conduct routine maintenance tasks including oil changes, tire service, and brake repairs.
  • Repair and replace components such as transmissions, powertrains, and suspension systems.
  • Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for various repair tasks.
  • Work on automotive electrical systems, ensuring proper functionality.
  • Interpret schematics and technical manuals to facilitate repairs.
  • Engage in diesel engine repair and maintenance as needed.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding their vehicle needs.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace while adhering to safety protocols.
  • Assist with auto estimating for repairs and services.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as an Automotive Mechanic with a strong mechanical knowledge base.
  • Dealership experience is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Familiarity with Advanced Driver-Assistance Systems (ADAS) is a plus.
  • Proficiency in working with air brakes, shocks & struts, alignments, and suspension systems.
  • Experience with automotive diagnostics and repair of GM vehicles is advantageous.
  • Ability to perform welding tasks when necessary.
  • Strong understanding of vehicle maintenance processes including tire service and oil changes.
  • Excellent customer service skills to effectively communicate with clients about their vehicle issues.
  • Capability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
