Deliver multiple homes on schedule, within budget, and to Build Strong's standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities

As a Construction Superintendent, you will oversee daily field operations and ensure that every home under your supervision is built to the highest standards of craftsmanship and efficiency. Your responsibilities include:

  • Supervise all phases of on-site construction for multiple tract homes, from foundation to final walk-through.
  • Coordinate and schedule subcontractors, suppliers, and inspections to maintain production timelines.
  • Ensure work is performed in compliance with plans, specifications, building codes, and safety regulations.
  • Conduct quality control checks at each phase of construction to guarantee workmanship meets Build Strong's standards.
  • Monitor project budgets and materials to prevent delays or cost overruns.
  • Communicate daily with the Project Manager and administrative staff to report progress, challenges, and next steps.
  • Resolve field issues promptly and effectively to maintain steady progress across all active lots.
  • Maintain accurate job documentation including daily reports, inspections, and change orders.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with trade partners, inspectors, and local authorities.

Qualifications

Required:

  • 5+ years of experience as a Construction Superintendent or similar role with a tract home builder or production home builder.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple homes under construction simultaneously.
  • Strong understanding of residential building codes, safety standards, and quality control practices.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Must have a reliable vehicle, valid California driver's license, and current auto insurance.

Preferred:

  • Experience working with design-build or custom home projects in addition to tract homes.
  • Bilingual in Spanish (Not required but nice to have).
  • Established network of subcontractors, vendors, and inspectors in the area.
  • Familiarity with project management tools such as Buildertrend, Procore, or similar systems.
