Established in 2006, and based in Rancho Cucamonga, California, Crossroads engages in the business of commercial medium and heavy-duty truck financing and leasing. We offer operating and finance leasing as well as direct financing to our commercial customers. Crossroads has experienced dynamic growth, expanding our portfolio and developing relationships with transportation companies that have locations outside the state of California, expanding our finance products to all states to service these customers.

What You'll Do:

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Engineering Manager to guide our engineering team in building out cutting-edge platforms. The ideal candidate will have a strong background and expertise in backend development and front-end web development technologies. This role requires a leader who can mentor and inspire engineers to achieve technical excellence and deliver high-quality products. We are also looking for someone who is excited about leveraging AI tools to create a more productive and innovative workflow inside our business.

Principal Responsibilities:

• Lead the design, development, and deployment of scalable and reliable software solutions.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to a team of talented engineers.
• Write code and contribute to software development projects.
• Collaborate with product manager, designers, and other stakeholders to define and implement new features.
• Architect and build robust backend services, preferably using Python.
• Develop and maintain user-friendly and responsive front-end applications using React or
• Drive the adoption of best practices in software development, including code reviews, testing, and CI/CD.
• Explore and implement AI-powered tools and workflows to enhance engineering productivity and product capabilities.
• Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the engineering team.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience in a lead engineering role, with a track record of successfully delivering complex software projects.
• Proven experience leading a small engineering team, with a track record of mentoring members to achieve technical excellence and deliver outstanding results.
• Strong proficiency in languages like Python or Node, and experience with backend frameworks such as FastAPI, Flask, Express, or NestJS.
• Expertise in front-end development using modern frameworks like React, Angular or
• Experience working with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud, Azure) is a plus.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• A passion for mentoring and developing a team of engineers.

Desired Skills

• Expertise in Python, different web frameworks and front-end frameworks
• Experience with leveraging AI tools and technologies to improve development workflows and product features.
• Knowledge of database technologies (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB).
• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience with Agile development methodologies.
• A strong understanding of software architecture and design patterns.
• Interest and experience in building custom MCP server that can interface with large language models.

Compensation:

• $150,000-$190,000 depending on skills and experience
