Job Overview
We are seeking a talented and passionate Sous Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food production and kitchen management, with experience in fine dining and catering. As a Sous Chef, you will assist in overseeing kitchen operations, ensuring the highest standards of food quality and safety while leading a team of culinary professionals.
Duties
- Collaborate with the Executive Chef to create innovative menu items that reflect current culinary trends and customer preferences.
- Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and training to ensure efficient food preparation and presentation.
- Manage inventory control, including ordering supplies and maintaining stock levels to minimize waste.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and proper handling procedures.
- Assist in planning and executing banquet events, ensuring timely service and exceptional quality.
- Oversee daily kitchen operations, including shift management, food preparation, and service delivery.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen environment.
- Foster a positive team atmosphere that encourages collaboration and professional growth.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a culinary leadership role, preferably as a Sous Chef or similar position.
- Strong background in fine dining, catering, or restaurant management.
- Experience with menu planning, inventory management, and food service management.
- Excellent cooking skills with a deep understanding of food handling and safety protocols.
- Ability to manage a team effectively while promoting a collaborative work environment.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in food preparation and presentation.
- Knowledge of dietary department practices is a plus.
- Previous experience in banquet service or hospitality is advantageous.
