Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and friendly individual to join our team as a Cashier, with a focus on providing excellent customer service in a fast-paced food service environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in food handling, restaurant operations, or culinary settings, and possess strong communication skills. This role involves managing transactions accurately while ensuring a positive dining experience for all customers. Prior experience in dietary departments or catering is a plus, along with knowledge of food safety and meal preparation.

Duties

  • Greet customers warmly and assist with their orders efficiently
  • Operate cash registers and handle cash, credit, or debit transactions accurately
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the cashier station and surrounding areas
  • Support food service operations by assisting with food preparation or serving when needed
  • Ensure compliance with food safety standards during handling and serving of food items
  • Assist in menu planning and suggestive selling to enhance customer experience
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate meal timing and order accuracy
  • Uphold high standards of hygiene and safety protocols at all times

Skills

  • Previous experience in food industry roles such as food service, restaurant, or catering is preferred
  • Knowledge of dietary aide practices, menu planning, and culinary techniques is advantageous
  • Strong knife skills, cooking, and meal preparation abilities are beneficial
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally
  • Familiarity with food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
  • Experience with food preparation, kitchen tasks, or fine dining enhances suitability for this role
