Mission Statement
Family Emergency Rooms (Family ER) seeks to utilize the ingenuity, hard work, and dedication of all its constituents to navigate and constantly redefine the evolving role that Free Standing Emergency Departments play in the employment of health care workers and the care given to our patients. With unrelenting integrity, we seek to utilize the wisdom, observations and creativity of all who join us to empower us to make the correct choices and set up the absolute best business and care delivery model. While financial feasibility will be adhered to, providing the absolute best patient care will always be our goal. By allowing all workers to become vested in the business and have true voices in the operations we seek to simplify the "healthcare worker-patient" relationship allowing common sense solutions to be obtainable.
Summary
Provide the highest standards of patient care in a safe and effective way. Assess patients to include physical examination, lab and imaging interpretation. Provide procedures with high technicality when appropriate. Treat and manage patients based on current and up to date standards. Interact well with all Family ER staff, including mentoring and education. Write appropriate prescriptions when necessary. Provide disposition of patients in a timely manner.
Essential Functions:
A: Job Specific
• Will be a voting member of Family ER's democratically based Medical Staff. Through this membership and participation the Emergency Physician will assist in decisions regarding Family ER.
• Will provide the highest standards of patient care.
• Will provide mentoring to all staff.
• Full-time physicians will work 144 hours minimum at Family ER via either twelve 12 hour shifts, six 24 hour shifts per month or a combination thereof.

• Adheres to dress code. Appearance is neat and clean and wears appropriate identification while on duty.
• Maintains confidentiality of all patient and/or employee information to assure patient and/or employee rights are protected.
• Reports to work on time as scheduled; adheres to policies regarding notification of absence.
• Attends all mandatory in-services and staff meetings.
• Represents the organization in a positive and professional manner.
• Complies with all policies regarding ethical business practices.
• Communicates the mission, ethics, and goals of the facility.
• Consistently demonstrates guest relation's skills to patients, physicians, visitors, employees, and any other individuals with whom they may come in contact.
• Complies with relevant regulations and standards and policies governing safe workplace environment (OSHA, etc).

Minimum Qualifications
Education: MD or DO Degree.
Licenses/Certification: Full, unrestricted medical license in the State. Board certified. ACLS, PALS and ATLS certification unless ABEM.
Experience: Minimum three years' experience in Emergency Medicine post-residency.
