Position Summary

The Inventory Clerk plays a vital role in supporting the efficient and accurate tracking, receipt, storage, and distribution of aviation parts and materials within the IAG Engine Center. This position ensures inventory accuracy and proper documentation to support engine repair and overhaul operations, maintaining compliance with FAA and EASA standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to, the following:

Inventory Management

  • Receive, inspect, and accurately record incoming parts, materials, and supplies into inventory systems
  • Perform cycle counts, physical inventories, and reconciliation to maintain inventory accuracy
  • verify part numbers, quantities, and documentation against purchase orders and shipping manifests
  • Update inventory records promptly using ERP/MRP software (e.g., Quantum, SAP, or equivalent)
  • Assist in identifying obsolete, slow-moving, or excess inventory for disposition

Storage & Handling

  • Properly store and organize parts in designated warehouse locations following FAA/EASA and company guidelines
  • Ensure all parts are correctly tagged, labeled, and stored in a manner that preserves traceability and condition
  • Coordinate movement of parts within the facility to support production, repair, and shipping needs
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the inventory area to comply with safety and quality standards

Shipping & Distribution

  • Prepare and package parts for shipment to customers, field teams, or repair vendors
  • Generate shipping documents and ensure regulatory compliance for domestic and international shipments
  • Collaborate with logistics and receiving teams to expedite urgent orders and returns

Documentation & Compliance

  • Maintain accurate, timely, and complete inventory records and reports
  • Support audits and inspections conducted by regulatory agencies and internal teams
  • Adhere to FAA, EASA, and company policies regarding parts handling, traceability, and documentation

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • 1–3 years of inventory or warehouse experience, preferably in aviation, aerospace, or MRO environment
  • Basic computer proficiency and experience with inventory or ERP systems
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs and operate warehouse equipment (forklift certification a plus)
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills
  • Commitment to safety and regulatory compliance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with aviation industry inventory standards (e.g., ATA Spec 2000)
  • Familiarity with FAA and EASA Part 145 regulations
  • Forklift certification and warehouse equipment operation experience
