Ducklings Early Learning Center is currently looking for a creative and caring Assistant Teachers to join our team. RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support, manage and participate in a variety of learning environments and activities that provide opportunities for students to develop to their fullest potential and achieve their learning objectives.
  • Support the delivery of lesson plans for a young preschool classroom, implement school curriculum, and support the developmental needs of students.
  • Maintain a healthy and safe environment.
  • Communicate positively with students, parents and staff.
  • Safely lift a child or children with a total weight of 40 pounds.
  • Conduct activities involving substantial standing, walking and moderate sitting, stooping, kneeling, bending, crouching, crawling, twisting, and reaching on a frequent basis.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Assistant Teacher Applicants: Need at least a high school diploma
  • Two-year degree in Early Childhood Education or Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education a plus.
  • Previous experience as an Early Childhood Education Teacher in a licensed preschool or early development center is preferred.
  • Experience using Teaching Strategies Gold and Brightwheel a plus.
  • Able to furnish required clearances.
  • Exhibits strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Sense of humor encouraged.
