Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to join our medical team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality nursing care to patients in an inpatient substance abuse detox/residential facility. You will be responsible for assisting in patient assessments, administering medications, and supporting the healthcare team in delivering quality care.

Duties

  • Provide direct patient care under the supervision of facility physicians.
  • Assist with patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers.
  • Perform nursing procedures such as TB testing.
  • Educate patients and families on health management, including nutrition and wellness strategies.
  • Document patient progress accurately in medical records.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Support patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) while promoting independence.
  • Maintain a safe and clean environment for patients.
  • Assist in ordering and scheduling medication.
  • Maintain accurate medication counts in the MAR.

Qualifications

  • Valid Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license in the state of practice.
  • Strong knowledge of anatomy and nursing principles.
  • Experience or training in substance abuse is preferred.
  • Familiarity with coding procedures for medical documentation is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills and a compassionate approach to patient care.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and health coaching practices.
