Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Millwork - Cabinet Production/Shop Manager to oversee our cabinet production operations. This role is crucial for ensuring the efficient and high-quality fabrication of millwork products. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing, carpentry, and materials handling, along with excellent leadership skills to manage a team effectively.

Duties

  • Supervise daily operations of the cabinet production shop, ensuring adherence to quality standards and timelines.
  • Manage and coordinate the workflow of production, including assembly, machining, and fabrication processes.
  • Utilize hand tools, power tools, and machinery to assist in the production of cabinets and millwork products.
  • Implement safety protocols and ensure compliance with safety regulations within the shop environment.
  • Train and mentor staff on best practices for materials handling, equipment operation, and assembly techniques.
  • Maintain inventory levels of materials and supplies needed for production; coordinate with suppliers as necessary.
  • Conduct regular inspections of equipment and tools to ensure proper maintenance and functionality.
  • Collaborate with design teams to ensure that all products meet specifications and customer expectations.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a manufacturing or millwork environment with a focus on cabinet production.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues effectively.
  • Proficient in using various hand tools, power tools, and machinery relevant to cabinet making and fabrication.
  • Familiarity with assembly processes and techniques specific to millwork products.
  • Experience in materials handling, including safe lifting practices and warehouse operations.
  • Background in construction or carpentry is highly desirable.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
