Supplier Quality Engineer - Manufacturing
Location: Warner ROBINS,GA KATHLEEN,GA AREA
Position Overview
The Supplier Quality Engineer will be responsible for ensuring that all suppliers meet the required quality standards for manufacturing components in the automotive industry. This role involves working closely with suppliers to implement quality assurance processes, conducting audits, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and approve suppliers based on quality standards and manufacturing capabilities.
  • Lead quality improvement initiatives for Tier 1 and Tier 2 suppliers.
  • Conduct quality audits and inspections at supplier facilities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve quality issues related to supplier components.
  • Develop and implement Supplier Quality Assurance processes including PPAP (Production Part Approval Process).
  • Monitor supplier performance and implement corrective actions as necessary.
  • Provide training and guidance to suppliers on quality standards and best practices.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in supplier quality engineering within the automotive industry.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and quality control standards.
  • Experience with PPAP and other quality assurance methodologies.
  • Knowledge of Tier 1 and Tier 2 supplier management in automotive manufacturing.
  • Familiarity with heavy-duty trucks and automotive components is preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
