The Enrollment Navigator is a part-time, temporary position serving all locations of Wake Technical Community College. The Enrollment Navigator is responsible for ensuring that students understand the enrollment process and connect them to institutional resources. This position is primarily an outreach position focused on the outreach and support to admitted students to support access, retention, persistence, and completion.
Responsibilities and Duties (*Essential Functions)To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the essential job functions satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the primary job functions herein described.
- Provides targeted outreach and support to admitted students, including those who are considered economically disadvantaged and other underrepresented populations
- Assists students in the enrollment process through various communication platforms including phone calls, texts, and email
- Provides one on one guidance to support students in the enrollment process and assists in providing opportunities to enhance success in college
- Provides referrals for service based upon individualized student needs
- Teaches students how to navigate the enrollment process at Wake Technical Community College
- Collaborates with other departments of the college to support student success initiatives and to provide students with accurate and timely information to make informed and positive decisions
Documents and track outreach initiatives as required by the grant
Completes required professional development
Participates in college-wide and service area activities and events that promote the growth of the college as well as staff professional development activities
QualificationsKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Demonstrated excellent customer service skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Intermediate skills with MS Office products
Minimum Requirements
Associate's Degree
Student support or student services/admissions experience
Preferences
Experience with community college policies and procedures
Experience with student information system
One year data entry
Two years customer service experience
