Local-Only Requirement

Position Overview
Join the Edge Networking team within the Bureau of Infrastructure, Office of Administration (OA).
You will support, design, maintain, and integrate LAN/WAN edge network infrastructure across Commonwealth agencies.
Ideal for a highly technical networking engineer with large enterprise experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, maintain edge network infrastructure: switches, routers, firewalls, SD-WAN appliances, wireless & cellular devices.
- Perform network monitoring, testing, troubleshooting, ticketing (ServiceNow, Remedy).
- Support planning & design of LAN/WAN architecture, including capacity planning and bandwidth analysis.
- Participate in deployments, upgrades, change management, and hardware refresh cycles.
- Provide Tier-2 support for network incidents and widespread events.
- Recommend emerging technologies and optimize existing networks.
- Maintain Visio diagrams, documentation, and configuration standards.
- Ensure networks meet OA security requirements.
- Support remote IT staff, agency ops, and business partners.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams and vendors.
