Job Overview

As a Leasing Agent, you will be the dynamic bridge between prospective tenants and their future homes. Your role is pivotal in showcasing properties, guiding clients through the leasing process, and ensuring a seamless experience from inquiry to move-in. With your expertise in property management and customer service, you will foster lasting relationships while adhering to legal regulations and company policies.

What you'll do

  • Conduct property tours and showcase available units to potential tenants, highlighting key features and benefits.
  • Manage the leasing process from start to finish, including application processing, lease negotiations, and contract execution.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Fair Housing regulations, landlord-tenant law, and Section 8 requirements to ensure compliance.
  • Utilize property management software such as Yardi and OneSite for data entry, customer relationship management, and record-keeping.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by addressing tenant inquiries, resolving conflicts, and upselling additional services or amenities.
  • Collaborate with maintenance teams to coordinate property upkeep and address tenant concerns promptly.
  • Assist in marketing efforts to attract new tenants through various channels while maintaining a strong online presence.

Experience

  • Proven experience in property leasing or real estate administration is essential.
  • Familiarity with LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit) properties is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of legal administrative processes related to leasing agreements and contracts.
  • Excellent negotiation skills with a track record of successful lease agreements.
  • Proficient in office tasks including filing, phone etiquette, and general administrative duties.
