Adventurelore LLC is seeking a motivated, masters-level social worker or mental health counselor to join our team. This role offers a unique opportunity to blend adventure-based techniques with traditional counseling methods in a dynamic, experiential setting.
As a clinician at Adventurelore, you will:
Provide individual and group counseling using adventure-based and traditional therapeutic techniques.
Manage a caseload of individual clients while co-facilitating group therapy sessions.
Utilize outdoor and experiential learning to foster personal growth, healthy communication, teamwork, and emotional resilience.
Who We're Looking For
We seek energetic, self-driven individuals who are passionate about helping youth thrive through hands-on experiences. The ideal candidate:
Has completed a master's degree in counseling or social work OR needs an internship site for graduate school.
Excels at forming strong therapeutic relationships with children and adolescents.
Is physically capable of assisting participants in outdoor activities such as hiking, rock climbing, kayaking, canoeing, and mountain biking (expert-level skills not required).
Is a self-starter who takes initiative and takes pride in their work.
Has a great sense of humor and knows how to use it effectively to connect with youth.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with children and teens in a counseling or mentorship capacity.
- Background in adventure programming, physical education, or recreational therapy.
- Strong leadership skills and experience in athletics or outdoor education.
