Job Overview

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated In Home Caregivers to provide personalized care and support to clients in their own homes. This role requires a strong commitment to improving clients' quality of life through attentive assistance with daily activities, health management, and emotional support. Ideal candidates will have experience in various healthcare settings, including hospital medicine, emergency medicine, geriatrics, and post-acute care, ensuring comprehensive and professional in-home care services.

Responsibilities

  • Assist clients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility.
  • Provide medication reminders and monitor health status as directed by healthcare professionals.
  • Support clients with meal preparation and nutritional needs.
  • Offer companionship to promote mental well-being and reduce feelings of isolation.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of care provided and communicate effectively with family members and healthcare teams.
  • Follow care plans meticulously, ensuring safety protocols are adhered to at all times.
  • Assist with light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe environment.
  • Respond promptly to client needs, providing emotional support and reassurance.

Experience

Candidates should possess relevant experience in healthcare environments such as Level II trauma centers, Level I Trauma Centers, PICU, OR settings, or teaching hospitals. Experience in hospital medicine, emergency medicine, geriatrics, medical-surgical units, inpatient care, outpatient clinics, or sub-acute care is highly desirable. Prior work in post-acute or outpatient settings will be considered a strong asset. Candidates with a background in geriatrics or specialized patient populations are encouraged to apply. Experience working independently in home settings is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for those new to home care services.

Job Types: Part-time, Contract, Per diem, PRN

Pay: $ $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 16 per week
