PURPOSE OF CLASSIFICATION

The purpose of this classification is to perform skilled manual field work including construction, maintenance, and repair of storm drainage systems and/or water distribution systems and to operate related equipment, in compliance with Local/State/Federal standards, guidelines and laws.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

High school diploma or GED.

One (1) year experience involving outside manual labor work which must include construction, maintenance, repair work and equipment operation. Experience involving storm drainage systems and/or water systems desirable.

Must be able to obtain and maintain valid Level 3 Distribution System Operators License within 2 years of start date, and Class C Stormwater Certification within 3 years.

A valid Florida driver's license is required. For application purposes, a valid driver's license from any state (equivalent to a State of Florida Class E) may be utilized with the ability to obtain the State of Florida driver's license within thirty (30) days from date of employment.
