COUNSELOR

Would YOU enjoy a career as a counselor (QSAP 2) making a positive impact on adolescents through The Bridge's Adult Outpatient program? This full-time, non- exempt position will serve Fort Payne (Alabama). The Bridge offers excellent training, a great support system, and benefits, including mileage reimbursement and a cell phone stipend. We also offer supplemental pay for substance abuse certification and for licensed ALC, LMFT, LPC, LMSW, LICSW, and LBSW.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a clinical area (i.e., psychology, social work, counseling, marriage, and family) OR other behavioral health areas with requisite coursework equivalent to that of a degree in above
  • Must have current driver's license, acceptable driving record, and access to reliable transportation to meet with client
  • Must possess basic computer skills such as using emails for effective communication, writing, and editing in Microsoft Word or Google Docs, searching for information with Google

Job Responsibilities / Essential Functions

  • Provide recovery support service
  • Develop and implement service planning
  • Provide clinical services in individual, group, and family therapy
  • Identify and conduct appropriate referrals
  • Provide client, family, and community education
  • Provide case management services
  • Willing to work with families and clients during non-traditional hours in a variety of settings including offices, schools, client's homes, or other approved community locations
  • Meet service level requirements sufficient to meet operational viability, client needs, and school system expectations
  • Ensure the content of client files is in full compliance and corresponds with billing records
  • Complete all required documentation in the electronic health record
