Deberes del asistente de cuidados en el hogar:

  • Monitorear la condición del paciente al observar la condición física y mental, ejercicios y las entrada y salida del paciente.  
  • Apoya al paciente al proveer servicios de lavandería y limpieza del hogar; compras de comida y otros requerimientos del hogar; preparar y servir comidas y meriendas; hacer diligencias. 
  • Asistir al pacientes al proveer servicios personales, tales como bañar, vestir y asear. 
  • Ayudar al paciente con el cuido de sí mismos al enseñarlos sobre el uso del bastón o andador, utensilios especiales para comer, técnicas y equipos especiales de higiene personal.  
  • Ayudar a los familiares del paciente a cuidar del mismo al enseñarles a levantarlo, girarlo y reposicionarlo; aconsejándoles sobre nutrición, limpieza y cuidados del hogar. 
  • Registra información del paciente en el diario del mismo; notificando al supervisor de enfermería de cambios o condiciones inusuales. Records patient information by making entries in the patient journal; notifying nursing supervisor of changing or unusual conditions.
  • Mantiene un ambiente sano y salvo para el paciente al seguir estándares y procedimientos; manteniendo precauciones de seguridad; siguiendo requerimientos dietéticos y estándares de nutrición prescritos. 
  • Actualizar sus conocimientos del trabajo al participar en oportunidades educativas. 
  • Proteger la agencia de cuidados del hogar al adherirse a estándares profesionales, políticas y procedimientos de cuidado del hogar, requerimientos locales, federales y estatales. 
  • Realzar la reputación del servicio al aceptar iniciativa por cumplimiento de nuevos y diferentes requerimientos; explorar oportunidades y agregar valor a los logros laborales.
