Breakfast Host

Position Overview: As a Breakfast Host with Scholar Hotels, you will be the first point of contact for our esteemed guests, setting the tone for their dining experience. You will manage reservations, greet and seat guests with grace and professionalism, and ensure smooth operations within the restaurant. Your role is crucial in creating a welcoming atmosphere and delivering exceptional service that aligns with our luxury standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Guest Reception: Warmly greet and welcome guests upon arrival, providing a positive first impression.
• Customer Service: Address guest inquiries, special requests, and concerns with professionalism and courtesy. Provide information about the menu, dining specials, and restaurant policies as needed.
• Communication: Communicate with back of house staff about what needs filled in on Breakfast Bar and guest special requests.
• Appearance Management: Maintain the Breakfast Bar area by ensuring that the dining area is clean, well-organized, and set up according to the Hyatt standards.
• Problem Resolution: Address and resolve any issues or complaints promptly, ensuring a satisfactory resolution that maintains the restaurant's reputation for excellence.
• Administrative Duties: Help Supervisor with ordering by making them aware of the supplies that need to be ordered.

Qualifications:

• Experience: Previous experience as a host or in a customer-facing role within a luxury or upscale dining environment is preferred.
• Skills: Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with a strong focus on customer service and hospitality.
• Appearance: Professional appearance and demeanor that reflects the upscale nature of our Breakfast Bar and meeting Hyatt Standards.
• Organizational Abilities: Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexibility: Ability to work morning shifts during a work week, whether that be a weekday or weekend.
