Part Time Sales Associate

Try this on for size:

We need to fill a part time sales associate position for our Red Wing Shoe Store. This person will promote and support the store's reputation of high quality footwear and customer service, while striving to build relationships with our loyal customers.

SALES ASSOCIATE ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Promote and support the Red Wing brand image through professional selling, and a focus on performance built footwear

  • Measure and fit every customer properly
  • Explain product features and benefits, as well as technical specifications
  • Suggest appropriate accessories with every footwear purchase
  • Practice industrial sales lead development and generation while fitting customers
  • Enter customer information and sales into our POS, process payments, balance cash drawer
  • Learn over time how to perform basic but essential repair work on our footwear

* Take pride and responsibility for overall store and personal appearance.

* Maintain the integrity of the sales floor presentation, signing, and housekeeping standards

SALES ASSOCIATE OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (following duties are required on all positions):

* Maintain store operations

* Maintain safe and healthy work environment by following organization standards and regulations.

* Learn the strengths and weaknesses of our competitors' products.

* Enthusiasm to provide the highest level of customer service.

* Motivation to reach and exceed individual and team sales goals.

* Complete other duties as assigned by your manager(s)

* Maintain technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, classes or programs.

* Conduct self according to policies and handbook.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

* Retail environment

* Weekend availability until 5pm is a must

* We have excellent retail hours for employees, but you must be available evenings during the week until 7pm

SALES ASSOCIATE EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

* High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required

* Team oriented mindset with flexibility in order to meet store goals and needs

* Results oriented

* Effective Written/Verbal communication skills

* Familiar with current computer technology

OTHER DESIRABLE (but not required) QUALITIES:

* Knowledge of Red Wing Shoes' mission, history and values

* Promote a mindset and attitude that enables efficiency, problem solving, and drives growth

  • Bilingual
  • Retail footwear and/or wholesale experience

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds, climb ladders without issue, and fit/lace customers while standing and/or while sitting

* Housekeeping duties - Including but not limited to; vacuuming, mopping, washing windows and setting up and maintaining displays

PAY:

* We offer a base hourly range of $14.00 to $17.00/hour for part time, plus after 30 days (training completed) you will receive commission and store incentive bonuses on top of that base hourly pay. Commission is not capped, and you can make your pay what you want the harder you work for it.

** Candidates must pass a background check and drug test **

** Must be at least 18 years of age **
