Pay: $20 hourly

As an Afterschool Site Coordinator with John Boner Neighborhood Centers, you'll take the lead in empowering youth through our EDGE (Education, Discovery, Growth, and Excellence) Afterschool Programs. In this dynamic leadership role, you'll oversee the daily operations of a school-based site, working directly with staff, students, parents, and community partners to provide a nurturing environment that fosters academic, social, and emotional growth. This role is ideal for experienced leaders ready to make a lasting impact by shaping and delivering high-quality youth programming.

A Day in the Life as an Afterschool Site Coordinator

Your day might include

  • Designing and implementing academic enrichment lesson plans and experiential curriculum based on Indiana Academic Standards.
  • Coordinating daily operations of the EDGE program, including supervising staff and engaging youth in age-appropriate activities.
  • Managing parent communication and fostering strong partnerships with teachers, school staff, and other JBNC departments.
  • Training staff in academic enrichment, behavior management, family engagement, and program policies.
  • Addressing elevated and complex student needs using restorative practices.
  • Evaluating program effectiveness and collaborating with the leadership team to implement improvements.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Completion of onboarding requirements, including a Tuberculosis (TB) test, drug screening, background check, and CPR & First Aid certification.
  • Flexibility to work variable hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
