Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Assistant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will support daily accounting operations, including managing accounts payable and receivable, processing journal entries, and assisting with tax-related tasks. This role is essential for maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports for some entities.
  • Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions efficiently.
  • Perform account reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial data.
  • Record journal entries and maintain general ledger integrity.
  • Support tax preparation activities as needed.
  • Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks and UltiPro for various accounting functions.
  • Collaborate with team members to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency.
  • Maintain organized records of financial transactions for audit purposes.
  • Banking Reconciliation and Transaction Posting

Skills

  • Strong understanding of basic accounting principles, including debits and credits.
  • Proficiency in accounting software, particularly QuickBooks and UltiPro.
  • Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and account reconciliation processes.
  • Familiarity with QuickBooks systems is a plus.
  • Knowledge of tax regulations and compliance requirements is preferred.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders.
