As a Security Professional - Armed Access Control in Hialeah, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more.

As an Armed Security Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in access control at a logistics and distribution location. Your responsibilities include conducting routine patrols, monitoring entry points, and helping to deter security-related incidents while remaining highly visible. You will interact with staff and visitors, providing outstanding customer service and clear communication. What You'll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor access points to help to deter unauthorized entry and maintain a secure environment within the logistics and distribution location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to help to deter suspicious activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
• Document and report any security-related incidents, hazards, or unusual occurrences according to Allied Universal and site-specific protocols.
• Assist with visitor and contractor management, verifying credentials and granting access as appropriate.
• Communicate professionally with staff, visitors, and/or delivery personnel to provide assistance and uphold site protocols.

• Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a valid armed guard card or license.
• Have at least 6 months of experience in armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military roles.
• Possess a valid firearms permit.
• Experience with alarm panels is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
